It is interesting to me how small choices govern our lives, and how big choices govern who we become. I was sent a link on facebook where David Archuleta (the singer) announced he was going on a two year mission for the LDS church. I read a few of the comments on the youtube page and although most were positive, there were a few that commented on the 'brain washing' that the church did to compel him to serve a mission. Disregarding the choice he made.
People are always yelling about the 'right to choose', but usually at the expense of other's choices. Instead the seem to be trying to push their agenda, choice and beliefs as the only truth. I am reminded of the words from the 2nd verse of Our Savior’s Love- (My thoughts are in the parenthesis) “The Spirit voice of goodness whispers (the spirit whispers… it doesn’t shout, abuse, threaten, argue… it whispers.) to out hearts -A better choice than evil’s anguished (evil does shout, abuse, threaten…) cries. Loud may the sound of hope (sometimes it’s all we have to hold onto.) ring till all doubt departs (believing in the power of the atonement) - And we are bound to Him, by loving ties (eternity with our Heavenly Father) ”
Honor the choice. And just love-
"But I say unto you which hear, love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, Bless them that curse you and pray for them which despitefully use you." -Luke 6: 27-28
